About

Hi there! A little about me:
I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University ('22) with BFAs in English and Theatre Studies, focusing primarily on Theatrical Education, Directing, and Management. Through my studies, I found that my passion lies in cultivating a strong connection between young artists and the field of theatre. I strives to provide a safe space and solid support for all young artists to be their authentic selves on and offstage. My educational work has primarily been at the Rose Theater in Omaha, Nebraska, where I served as a Teaching Artist Intern, then Teaching Artist Fellow. I also take great joy in my work at Raymond Central High School, where I am the drama co-director. I get to see high school students grow, show by show, and watch them fall in love with the art form, just as I did.
As a performer, I find joy in the challenge of playing a wide variety of characters with different traits and experiences. I have played characters such as Milo, the curious duck who explores the words with preschoolers (Ode to Toy, The Rose Theater) and Em Glams, a version of Lady Macbeth in an 80's horror style adaptation of the classic Macbeth (Something Wicked, Shoestring Theatre). It is worth noting I played both of these characters in the same month, and that was quite the ride as they are about as different as two characters can get.
As a director, I work with performers of all ages, in and out of an educational setting. However, no matter the space I ground my directing style in the spirit of structured play that allows an actor of any age to feel safe to make choices and explore their character. To me, a project is lost if the actors do not feel like they can take ownership of their character because that is truly how growth happens.
As a designer, I focuses primarily on the area of Hair and Makeup. I particularly enjoys designing for shows that require work in a historical time period. I have experience with wig styling and upkeep, as well as special effects application.
